Stride to Turn the Tide at Shubie Park

Put on your running shoes and take out your walking poles, the The Stephen Lewis Foundation Stride to Turn the Tide is back! Join us on Saturday, June 14 from 10 am to noon as we walk the trailes of Shubie Park in Dartmouth. Bring something to share at the picnic lunch to follow.

Stride to Turn the Tide is a walk, to raise funds in solidarity with grandmothers and their community-based organizations on the African continent who walk with purpose every day.

When the AIDS pandemic swept across the continent of Africa, millions of children were left alone and vulnerable. With little or no support, it was the grandmothers of Africa who stepped in to care for them.
