Please join us for an evening of letting go, dancing, sound, connection, and re-alignment, as we gather in community to co-create and evening of heart and soul medicine.
✨️👀 Location specifics: 250 Brownlow Ave, Dartmouth, NS (back side of the building, located just inside East Coast Barbel)
Ecstatic dance is freeform dance practice, which occurs within a safe and sacred container, where participants are encouraged to fully express themselves through movement and dance.
No dance experience is required and there are also no set dance moves to learn. Participants are encouraged to tune into their bodies, feel the music from within, and allow their bodies to move in whatever way feels good.
Taking a non-judgemental approach to your movements, is highly encouraged. Come out of the mind, and into the heart, soul and body! It doesn't matter what your movements look like, this is an INNER JOURNEY! Be your authentic weird and wonderful self- we wouldn't want you to be any other way!!

The Ecstatic Dance is SUBSTANCE FREE, family friendly event which is open to all ages.
The Ecstatic Dance is done in SILENCE, as talking takes away from the experience of the inner journey. Vocalizations are welcome if not in the form of words. If children are in attendance, it would be appreciated if they are old enough to understand this guideline of not talking. However, it is realized that kids will be kids!
All of your emotions are welcome in this space. Sometimes when we dance and move our bodies, emotions that were previously trapped may rise to the surface. Know that this is perfectly normal if it happens, and you are encouraged to lean in and allow these emotions to be expressed. This is a safe space!
Being barefoot is highly recommended for being more grounded into the earth, though you may wear footwear if you are more comfortable doing so. If you wish to wear shoes, please bring a pair of indoor footwear to keep the floors clean and safe for all 😊
Please DRESS IN LAYERS and bring a WATER BOTTLE with you to stay hydrated.
Please also bring some comfort items, such as a Yoga Mat and BLANKET for after the dance, as we relax and bask in the energy of a beautiful sound journey at the end of our evening.
Feel free to wear whatever is comfortable and makes you feel most like YOU. Please come with an open heart, mind and soul 🤍
Some of the benefits of Ecstatic dance include but are not limited to: stress relief, increase in blood circulation, releasing trapped emotions, and becoming more in tune with your body.
We will begin with an opening ceremony outlining the guidelines of the events, brief introductions, and setting intentions. After that we will DANCE DANCE DANCE!!!
We will conclude our evening with a 20 minute sound journey with crystal singing bowls, koshi chimes, handpan, and voice. This experience will bring our focus to our breath and allow us to reflect on our experience of the evening.
The energy exchange is a sliding scale of $25 - $35 per person, payable by cash at the door. Entry for children 12 and under is FREE.
