Hello everyone!
So we are organising our first fundraiser for the Cats of Crete! For those who have not come across us before, we are the Cretan Cat Crafters who encourage small Crafters to create little trinkets and goods to not only raise money for this amazing cause, but to promote good mental health, socialising with like minded people, and support local businesses!
VV Cats of Crete, run by Mark and Lydia in the Sissi and surrounding area of Crete, do an amazing job of catching, neutering, feeding and providing medical treatment to strays. They are involved in hand rearing of abandoned kittens, and rehoming of many cats both in Crete and worldwide!
So this fundraiser begins from 10-3pm with the fantastic Laura tattooing at her studio in Queen Street Shopping Centre in Darlington (I'll share her event in the feed with details of designs and everything 😊), where we will also be selling raffle tickets at 50p per ticket, or £2 for a strip! Once I have a list of prizes, I will be posting them up here as well so you can see but includes a fantastic £100 tattoo voucher!
Then from 3pm to 9pm, we will be moving the fundraising to The Tap on Bondgate who have so kindly allowed us to use their space upstairs where people can enjoy a nice pint, listen to a little music (not live bands I'm afraid but we will sort some tunes haha!), and there will be tables of home crafted pieces which can be bought and all money raised going to this amazing cause! The hand crafted pieces will be donated by local businesses and Crafters so I will be making sure their cards or leaflets are also available should you wish to see them at local markets, shops and the Misfit Market for further pieces in the future! Then we aim to draw the raffle at 7pm!!
