Fire and Steam talk by Christian Wolmar

As our contribution to the 200th anniversary of the opening of Stockton & Darlington Railway, Darlington Historical Society have sponsored a talk by transport writer and broadcaster Christian Wolmar. The talk will be based on his book 'Fire and Steam'. It will delve into the dramatic stories of people and events that shaped the world's first railway network.

The talk will be held at the Hopetown railway museum on 10th July, starting at 7pm.
