BAYDALE ROAD SAFETY RUN - SUNDAY 17th August 2025
ENTRY DECLARATION : I/we the undersigned, apply to enter the event described above and in consideration thereof:-
1. I/we hereby declare that I/we have had the opportunity to read, and that I/we understand the Regulations as have or may be issued for the event and agree to be bound by them.
2. I/we further declare that I am/we are physically and mentally fit to take part in the event and are competent to do so.
3. I/we confirm that I/we understand the nature and type of the event and the risk inherent when entering and agree to accept the same notwithstanding that such risks may involve negligence on the part of the organisers/officials.
4. I/we further agree that I/we will not seek to claim against the Vintage Motorcycle Club Ltd., the organisers or their officials, the landowners, the promoter or other bodies or individuals connected with the event in respect of any loss, damage costs claims or expenses that I/we have suffered or incurred, except for liability for death or personal injury arising out of negligence of the Vintage Motorcycle Club Ltd., the organisers their officials, the landowners, the promoter or other bodies or individuals connected with the event.
5. I/we further agree that the machine which I/we enter and compete on shall be suitable and proper for its purpose, shall be insured as required by the Road Traffic Act or equivalent legislation and that it will comply with the regulations in respect thereof, and is described below.
6. I/we understand and agree that I am/we are required to register my/our arrival by signing-on at the designated area.

Announcement and Eligibility: The South Durham Section of the Vintage Motorcycle Club Ltd. (VMCC) will hold under the above permit the Baydale Road Safety Run on 17 August 2025 for motorcycles, cyclecars and tricycles manufactured before 1st January 2000. The event is open to members of the VMCC current membership card must be presented at the start. Non members must apply for One Day membership by completing the appropriate form (fee £5).
Competition: Riders may be observed for correct machine handling and road safety and maybe required to answer questions on road safety, highway code, motorcycling history, or anything else. Ties will be decided in the following sequence: oldest machine; smallest capacity machine; furthest cleanest.
Awards for overall performance and class will be presented at Bannatynes Restaurant Darlington in January 2026. Results may be announced at the end of the run.
Route: Start (10am) and Finish, Cricket Club Middleton St George, east of Darlington off the A67. Route sheets will be issued. Lunch stop: Hawes. Afternoon stop at manor farm biker café Layburn, Veteran and small capacity machines may be started early at organisers discretion.
Entries: on the official form accompanied by the fee (£5.00). Return to the Secretary by 14th August. Late entries will be accepted at the start but please inform the Secretary before the day of the event.
