Laud to the Nativity of the Lord

Join us on Sunday, December 14 at 3:00PM as Connecticut Chamber Choir, Dr. Michael Ciavaglia conductor, with soloists Terry Eldh, Cidalia Kettles and David Guzman present Ottorino Respighi’s Lauda per la Nativitá del Signore (Laud to the Nativity of the Lord) .

In this song of praise to the miracle of Christmas, majestic choral passages alternate with the solo roles of Maria, the Angel and the shepherd, accompanied by the sound of pastoral instruments. A musical feast, this rarely heard work features romantic and neo-baroque musical styles with echoes of Gregorian chant.
Rounding out this exciting program will be additional works by Daquin, Palestrina and Daniel Forrest, with our traditional audience carol sing.

The concert is free, with a suggested donation of $20 (taken at the door).
