Come learn something new! This week we will be playing:
Concept
4-12 players
*Age 10 and up
*40 minutes
How to play: In this semicooperative game, split into two teams and take turns placing icons and colored cubes to communicate ideas to their team without speaking. The first person to guess the clue receives 2 points, and all other players on their team receive one point. The game ends after 12 clues have been solved, and the player with the most points is the winner.
A Fake Artist Goes to New York
* 20 minutes
*Ages 8 and up
5-10 players
How to Play:
One player is the Quest Master for the round. They pick a category (like “animals” or “famous landmarks”) and secretly choose a clue based on that category (for example, “elephant”). The Quest Master writes the clue on all the cards — except one. That one blank card is given to a random player, who becomes the Fake Artist. No one knows who the Fake Artist is except the Fake Artist themselves! Start Drawing — Everyone takes turns adding one single line to a shared drawing, trying to illustrate the clue — but without making it too obvious. The Fake Artist must try to blend in and figure out what the clue is by watching what others draw. After everyone has drawn two lines each, the drawing ends. Everyone except the Quest Master votes on who they think the Fake Artist is. If the majority guesses wrong, the Fake Artist and the Quest Master each get 1 point. If the majority guesses correctly, the Fake Artist gets one last chance to earn a point — by correctly guessing what the original clue was.
