In sacred space, we will honor the summer season and mother earth by remembering that all things are connected to us and we are connected to everything. Through a group ceremonial creation of a Native American medicine wheel, we will honor the the south direction and learn about the animals, plants and minerals associated with the summer season according to earth astrology.
Today many people are trying to restore their balance with nature and with themselves. People are turning to natural foods and natural healing, and there is a greater back to the land movement. It is at this time we feel the need to restore the balance with nature.
The medicine wheel is a magic circle that encompasses all of the world. The purpose of the medicine wheel and its elements is to help you discover the wonder of knowing about yourself, what you know as well as lessons and challenges in connection with the earth.
In our time together, we will use a flower essence associated with shawnodese, the spirit keeper of the south and an expression of summer here in New England, to journey into ourselves and discover what the great mother has to share with us. (Please note that this is a flower essence journey, not a plant medicine journey)
