International Overdose Awareness Day 2025

In recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day, a free dinner concert and remembrance event for the recovery and harm reduction communities, and all those allied with those impacted by SUD and related challenges, or their affected others.

5:30 to 6:30 PM: Enjoy live music by The Sirens—bold, soulful, and full of heart—while sharing a meal, exploring remembrance displays, and connecting with local resource tables and artwork honoring lives affected by substance use.

6:30 to 7:30 PM: Dessert and remarks from Gordon Smith (Maine’s Director of Opioid Response), Peter Bruun (winner of 2025 Governor’s Award at the 7th Annual Opioid Conference), and neighbors affected by loss from SUD.

7:30 to 8:30 PM: The event makes its way from the Rising Tide Co-op to the trails of the Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust (12 Round Top Lane) for a sunset candlelit vigil and sharing of remembrances.
