Tower Arts Presents Scott Dettra & Dallas Symphony Orchestra Brass

Join us for a concert featuring organist Scott Dettra and members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, May 25 at 5:30 pm in the Sanctuary.

Dettra, organist of HPUMC, will be joined by the brass and percussion sections of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra to conclude the season with musical elegance. The program will include Bernstein’s Overture to Candide, Strauss’s Solemn Entry, Robert Elmore’s rarely heard Concerto for Organ, Brass and Percussion, Finlandia by Sibelius, and music from Star Wars.

Dettra is acclaimed as one of America’s outstanding concert organ virtuosos. Equally at home at the harpsichord and piano, he is a versatile musician who is comfortable in a wide range of musical styles. All Tower Arts concerts are free to the public.
