Sacred Earth: Persevering the Next 7th Generations is a cultural event dedicated to honoring Indigenous knowledge through workshops, performances, and storytelling. This gathering centers on mental health and well-being through an Indigenous lens, rooted in the 7th Generation Principle.
Highlights include a collaborative workshop with Masculine Alchemy, focusing on healing practices grounded in Native traditions, and a Mexhika danza workshop, which explores ceremonial dance and teachings of the Aztec calendar. This community-centered event invites the public to engage directly with Indigenous voices in an immersive and meaningful experience designed to foster connection, reflection, and shared wisdom.
During intermission, a special storytelling presentation will be offered by Coyote Rock (Raquel “Rock ill” Zamora). This segment will focus on the displacement of wildlife as a legacy of colonization, exploring how the overdevelopment of land not only affects Indigenous people, but also our Indigenous animal relatives. Through personal narrative and cultural insight, this story highlights the deep interconnection between people, land, and wildlife, encouraging attendees to consider more respectful and reciprocal relationships with the natural world.
We are also welcoming vendors to be part of the event! While there is no fee to table, we kindly ask that each vendor donate one item to be included in our door prize giveaways. Additionally, we welcome donations from anyone in the community who would like to contribute a prize to support and uplift the event.
