In a cultural moment marked by burnout, noise, and isolation, Brandy Michele Adams offers us a different kind of space—one that is quiet, intuitive, and brave enough to ask what it means to feel whole again. Her work is a personal narrative of resilience and a powerful contribution to the evolving conversation about disability, healing, and the radical possibilities of art as care.

is a neurodivergent artist whose interdisciplinary practice centers on self-healing, transformation, and the deep reimagining of care through contemporary art. Her work—rooted in sound, movement, meditation, and somatic imagination—creates immersive, regenerative spaces that challenge normative modes of perception and experience. Adams’s practice is uniquely informed by her lived experience as a survivor of a spinal cord injury caused by a drunk driver, which left her bedridden for two years. It was within this enforced stillness that she began a profound process of embodied listening—learning to attune to the wisdom of her own body as her brain navigated the long arc of recovery.
