Allegro Guitar Camp : July 27, from 1PM to 4PM

All Styles Are Welcome. Lessons on general technique and musicianship.

with Performance opportunities for participants during the class to gain valuable feedback..

The first half of the class which will include lessons on general technique and musicianship. In the second half students may ask specific questions and receive instruction on a range of subjects. There will also be opportunities for participants to perform for the class in a safe and nurturing environment. Chris taught for 25 years at Colleges and Universities in North Texas and gave masterclasses at many prestigious institutions including The Juilliard School in NYC.

McGuire is unique in that his early influences were pop, rock, blues, and folk music. In Jr High and High School Chris played orchestral percussion in Band and was in several bands that played locally. In 1969 Stevie Ray Vaughan joined his brother Patrick’s cover band and he and Stevie would regularly jam during rehearsal breaks and afterwards. Later Chris studied in classes and privately with the legendary Spanish virtuoso, Andres Segovia.
