In 2014 the J.L. Turner Legal Association (JLTLA) lost one of its founding members and a legal legend – the Honorable Louis A. Bedford, Jr. Judge Bedford practiced law in Dallas for over 60 years and, in 1966, became the first African-American judge in the history of Dallas County. Not only was Judge Bedford a champion for civil rights, but he was also a revered mentor to many attorneys in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
JLTLA invites you to join us for the 2025 Bedford Awards Luncheon. Lunch will be available for purchase at Arts District Mansion ($25 for lunch and parking). Please RSVP as soon as possible so that we may reserve adequate seating.
