Calling all budding Paleontologists Come to Lesnes Abbey's fossil pit to dig up fossilised sharks teeth and other exciting finds
Lesnes Abbey’s fossil pit is 55 million years old and dates back to the Eocene period. Come join us for an 1 1/2 hour workshop to search the once tropical seabed for seashells belonging to sea snails, oysters and clams along with sand and angel shark teeth. All equipment is provided including sieves, trowels, and id guides.
