Overview:
Experience the pinnacle of precision shooting with CR2’s Precision Rifle Course at Steel City Precision in Cusseta, GA on 25 & 26 April 2026. This two-day course builds on our proven instructional methods and provides focused, hands-on training in a small group environment. Whether you are a competitor refining your technique, a hunter extending your effective range, or a professional shooter sharpening mission-ready skills, our instructors will tailor the program to your goals and rifle system.
Program Highlights:
Personalized Curriculum: The course begins with a skills and goals assessment. We then customize the training plan to focus on the areas most important to you such as shot process, rifle setup, ballistics, wind reading, positional shooting, or team communication.
Rifle Setup and Zeroing: Learn how to optimize rifle ergonomics, properly mount and level optics, establish a solid zero, and build a reliable data card for consistent accuracy.
Ballistics and Trajectory: Explore internal, external, and terminal ballistics as well as the effects of environmental conditions. Apply ballistic solutions in practical field settings.
Wind Reading and Environmental Effects: Train to interpret flags, mirage, vegetation, and terrain features. Convert those observations into wind calls and corrections at extended distances.
Extended Range Time: Engage in extensive live-fire practice on both known- and unknown-distance targets. Apply concepts in valley and elevated positions that replicate the challenging terrain of Steel City Precision.
Shooting Positions and Fieldcraft: Practice prone, supported, and improvised positions. Learn movement to and from firing positions and apply angle fire considerations.
Team Skills and Communication (optional): For shooter and spotter teams, practice callouts, data sharing, and rapid target transitions using binoculars, Kestrels, or ballistic apps.
Feedback and Data Analysis: Receive immediate instructor feedback after each series. Record data and refine shot process for continued improvement.
