Lessons in Leadership: Alumni Lunch Series 2025

Our 2025 Alumni Lunch Series: Lessons in Leadership will bring together a panel of notable Southern Cross alumni to discuss and reflect on their professional leadership experiences, sharing the pivotal moments, challenges and values shaping their careers.

Over a long lunch at one of the Gold Coast’s most stunning locations, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with fellow Southern Cross alumni and the wider university community, gaining fresh ideas and new connections.

This year, our panel features four outstanding leaders with a diverse range of experience:

• Will Brook: CEO of Brookfarm, directing the iconic Byron Bay family business to global success while championing sustainability.
• Marion Charlton: COO of Queensland Airports Limited, overseeing four of the state’s major airports and driving transformative infrastructure projects.
• Greg Yong: CEO of Coast Entertainment Holdings, directing the growth and transformation of Gold Coast icons Dreamworld, WhiteWater World and SkyPoint.
• Georgina Holt (Moderator): Director of Co-Creative Studios, founding a successful marketing agency on the Gold Coast.

Date: Friday 26 September 2025

Time: 12:00pm – 3:00pm (panel concludes at approx 2:00pm, followed by time to connect with fellow attendees)

Location: The Homestead, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Gold Coast, Queensland

Tickets: · $40 per person, includes a welcome drink, two course lunch, tea/coffee and return train ride to The Homestead. A proportion of your ticket price goes to the Sanctuary to support animal rehabilitation.
