Hello!

As some of you expressed your interest and have decided to provide some more introductory art sessions on Tuesday evenings at the Dust Temple from 6 - 8.30pm . With enough interest, this will lead to more of immersive course.

If you feel like bringing some of your own projects or art ideas, I will leave space for us to do this.

Contribution: $20 (If in financial hardship please come for free)

Supplies will be provided. I encourage you to bring your kit too and an art pad to track your processes. You can also use this as an art journal.

Some themes included: exploring your relationship with emotions and resistance to expression. Self-inquiring into what inhibits your creative flow, getting comfortable with the uncomfortable and cultivating art as a life practice.
This will weave in psychotherapy and psychoeducation, tools such as Focusing (getting in contact with your inner experience), mentalisation and mindfulness.

There will be an emphasis on process through art, not the art technique. You don't have to regard yourself as an artist, although I would like to say we are all innately artists. I would also love to encourage people to use these sessions to inspire their body of work (if you are a practising artist).
