Australian architect, designer, and media personality. He is known for his work in architecture and interior design, as well as for his appearances on television. Most notably, he was a design expert on the Australian version of the reality renovation show House Rules, which aired on the Seven Network.

Panelist: Shannon Best
Shannon Best is a Yugambeh man, cultural consultant, artist, and community leader on the Gold Coast. As Programs Manager at the Yugambeh Museum & Research Centre, he delivers cultural awareness, community engagement, heritage guidance, and climate resilience training. Shannon also creates impactful public art, including the “Death by Smoke” sculpture addressing tobacco harm.

Panelist: Gerard McCormick - Landscape Architect & SWELL exhibitor
Gerard McCormick is a Gold Coast-based landscape architect and co-founder of 8LA. With over 25 years’ experience, he specialises in sustainable urban design, public art, and community projects. A Fellow of AILA, he also founded Village Bike, a grassroots initiative promoting active travel, environmental awareness, and mental well-being. He has exhibited as part of the SWELL Festival, 7 times!

4:10 PM – Embark on a Guided Sculpture Experience through SWELL Sculpture Festival, led by artistic leaders and curators.
5:10 PM – Arrive at the exclusive SWELL Art Party marquee for welcome drinks and abundant grazing boards, surrounded by great company and ocean views.
6:00 PM – Enjoy a delicious paella, mingle with fellow guests and soak in the creative atmosphere.
