On Wednesday, 8th October 2025, mortgage broker Jessica Clausen from Emmel Finance, who specialises in helping first home buyers, and Abigail Fairbanks of Fairbanks Property, will host a free First Home Buyers Game Plan at Fairbanks Property on Ingham Road.
The event will bring together a team of trusted industry professionals, including a mortgage broker, real estate agent, conveyancer, and building & pest inspector - who will guide attendees through the entire process of buying their first home.
“Buying a first home can feel overwhelming, and most people have no idea where to start” said Jessica Clausen. “Our goal is to give people the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to enter the property market, while also making them aware of the government options available that can make their journey easier.”
The workshop comes at a timely moment following the expansion of the First Home Guarantee, which allows eligible buyers to purchase with a smaller deposit and without the need for costly Lenders Mortgage Insurance.
In addition to practical tips and step-by-step guidance, attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with local businesses and service providers who can support them through their home ownership journey.
