Use your own scrap jewellery to learn basic jewellery making techniques and use them to create your very own piece of jewellery.
In this one day workshop you can use your own old broken jewellery to learn to create your very own ring or bangle (item create depends on amount of material available, additional metal can be purchased on the day).
The jewellery suitable for use in this class includes sterling silver, 9ct, 10ct, 14ct and 18ct gold.
We will use traditional jewellery making techniques to create melt down your old jewellery and create a made to new item for you to wear and take home. The workshop will take place at The Studio at Millbank, Millbank House, Cumnock.
Although this class is suitable for beginners, it is an intensive day of jewellery making so a maximum of 4 attendees will take part in the workshop and lunch and refreshments throughout the day are included.
Suitable for those aged 18 to 94+, no previous jewellery experience is necessary.
We will be in touch before the class to discuss what old and broken metal jewellery is suitable for this class, and all tools needed for the class will be provided for use in the workshop.
Loose clothing should be avoided, closed toe shoes should be worn, if you have long hair it should be worn tied back and please remember to bring glasses if needed as we will be working with small objects.
