Mauchline Community Association SCIO invites you to take part in our Mauchline 5K Fun Run on Sunday 17th August 2025.
FUN RUN ENTRY
To ensure that we maximise entrants experience we have placed a limit on numbers to a maximum of 300. There will be a waiting list in operation for use in the event of all places being taken. Contact the organiser if you cannot take part.
There will be NO entries taken on the day and all participants will require to enter on-line prior to the event.
CAR PARKING
There will be restricted car-parking available within the Loudoun Street Car park and on street parking nearby.
REGISTRATION
Registration is in the Beechgrove Park with (limited) changing and (limited) toilets.
REGISTRATION OPENS AT 1030am. AS A PRE-ENTRY YOU ONLY NEED TIME TO CONFIRM ATTENDANCE FOR ORGANISERS. HOWEVER, AS REGISTRATION IS ALWAYS BUSY PLEASE COME EARLY TO AVOID THE RUSH.
THE COURSE
The run starts (and finishes) within the Beechgrove Park Barskimming Road Mauchline. The route travels west downhill on Barskimming road out into the countryside passing the Cemetery on your left. Taking the 1st left towards Haughyett Farm, this will the only flat part of the route! As you take a left onto Haugh Road its all uphill onto Station Road. Turning left passing by the old Mauchline Railway line you will continue uphill back onto Barskimming Road and back into the Beechgrove Park for the final sprint!

Paid Entry free includes medal for all finishers plus loads of spot prizes for best dressed costumes or funny outfits!

Ticketsource will show the event closed when the limit is reached. Enter early to avoid disappointment. Entries are non-transferrable.
No dogs are allowed in the Mauchline 5K Fun Run. The course is unsuitable for wheel chair users. No ear-phones or similar that restrict runners hearing are allowed.
CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT
Competitors and spectators safety will always be the highest priority for the event organisers. If anything occurs that is outwith our control that would compromise health and safety then we reserve the right to modify, cancel or reschedule the event accordingly. The organisers will communicate any changes through entrants email as far ahead as circumstances dictate along with entry decisions. Refunds will be given at the discretion of the organisers depending on circumstances impacting the event. There may be an option to defer to the following year. The process as it applies will be communicated to all entrants.
PARTICIPANT WAIVER
Assumption of Risk, Release, and Waiver of Liability.
All participants booking an entry place within the Mauchline 5K Fun run accepts that participating in the "Fun Run" involves risk of injury and accepts all risks associated with and not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather including high heat and/or humidity, traffic, and conditions of the road, all such risks known and appreciated by the participant. All participants agree to waive and release all officials, Mauchline Community Association SCIO, and any other sponsor, groups or individuals associated with this event of any liability. Futhermore, all participants grant the agents of this event permission to use photographs and pictures for any legitimate purpose.
