Wende Zine Fest: Garbage Zines with The Casual Creative

You don’t need fancy materials to tell a story. In this hands-on workshop, learn how to transform discarded books, scraps, and other overlooked odds and ends into powerful creative tools.

Led by The Casual Creative, the session begins with playful exercises to loosen up the imagination and introduce the basics of zine-making. From there, participants will use collage and assemblage to create their own one-of-a-kind “garbage zine.” A collection of materials that inspire guests to play and create will be provided, but you are welcome to bring old magazines, photos, wrapping paper or other paper scraps.
