Combined Working Equitation Ease of Handling and TREC PTV Clinic.

All sessions are 1 hour and the sessions can be done mounted, in-hand or a mixture of both. We will be in the outdoor arena if the weather is kind and the indoor arena if not! If indoors, we will focus on a few elements due to limited space.

This phase of WE consists of a course of obstacles, replicating those that may be found when working in the countryside. For example, a gate, a bridge and a jump. There are also other more technical obstacles such as the parallel slalom, straight slalom and barrels all of which at Advanced level require the horse and rider to perform flying changes in specific places in order to perform the obstacle correctly.

This is similar to the PTV phase of TREC and is designed to demonstrate the skills of and relationship between rider and horse. Obstacles may be required to be ridden or led. Examples include opening and closing a gate, jumping a small fence, reining back, bending, immobility and going up and/or down a slope.
