SLEPC Smith Lake Cleanup, Spring 2025

Help keep Smith Lake clean!

Join the Smith Lake Environmental Preservation Committee (SLEPC) and Alabama Power for the Renew Our Rivers/SLEPC Smith Lake Cleanup on Friday, April 12th.

• Lunch is provided for all volunteers!
• SLEPC ROR Cleanup T-shirts are provided to all volunteers!
• All we need is YOU.

Meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Smith Lake Park Boat Launch for sign-in and safety guidelines. We will load the boats and head out to clean areas around Simpson Creek and Ryan Creek. There will be a morning trip, a lunch break at Smith Lake Park, then an afternoon trip. Shirts will be handed out at the end of the cleanup.

**Many companies provide paid time off when you volunteer for a community service project. Check with your employer to see if they provide this benefit! **

Please wear clothes and shoes appropriate for picking up trash (long pants, sturdy shoes/boots). Please apply sunscreen and insect repellent.

If you are not a member of SLEPC and would like to join, . You do not have to be a member of SLEPC to help with the cleanup.
