Students will learn how to build a clay Christmas tree candy dish. The class explains the entire process from shaping the clay to glazing and firing the finished piece.
Class Description:
Focus: Creating a fun and unique decoration.
Techniques: Students will learn various pottery techniques, hand-building, and surface decoration.
Materials: All materials, including clay, glazes, and tools, are provided.
Process: The class will likely involve shaping the clay and personalizing the piece with carvings or other decorative elements.
Firing: The finished pieces will be fired in a kiln, and participants will likely return for a glazing session and to pick up their completed works.
Outcome: Participants will have a functional and unique piece of pottery for decorating or use.
Skill Level: Suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced potters.
The purchase price includes 1.5 pounds of clay and a day of studio time. Additional clay can be purchased for $5.00 per pound.
