Every summer, the Citrus County Chamber Ambassadors come together to host our Christmas in July event—and it’s more than just a fun mixer. It's a heartfelt mission to make a difference in the lives of local children and teenagers right here in Citrus County.
Many families in our community face financial struggles, and when the school year starts, some children are missing the basic essentials most of us take for granted—underwear, socks, and school supplies. Through this event, we work closely with area schools to ensure that students in need start the school year with dignity and confidence.
We also partner with the Family Resource Center to brighten the holidays for teenagers who are often overlooked when it comes to gift-giving programs. While younger children are often the focus of charitable efforts, teens are just as deserving of kindness and holiday magic. Our Christmas in July donations help provide them with thoughtful gifts and a reminder that they are seen, valued, and supported.
The Christmas in July event is a reflection of what the Chamber Ambassadors stand for: community, compassion, and connection. We believe in lifting each other up, supporting those in need, and showing that Citrus County is a place where kindness thrives year-round.
