Join the dance and co-create some community magic in this wild and wondrous place. We’ll have exclusive use of Pinewoods - a private 7-acre mature woodland, with lake, large hall, fire-site, kitchen, showers and toilets. There’s a flat grassy area for camping and a grove perfect for hanging hammocks, or for those who’d prefer a roof, camp beds can be made up in the three rooms off the main hall. Judit Juhász will hold a 5Rhythms forest dance in the middle of our retreat, but other than that our programme will be determined by whoever is there. The invitation is to come with an idea, something you’d like to suggest a few people might like to join you in, and we’ll co-create our programme together over the two days we’re there. What will emerge from our wonder-full community? What inspires you? Movement practices, bushcraft, land art, singing, birdwatching, storytelling, forest-bathing, painting, music-making…? Some lolling and certainly much more earthen dancing too, all in the company of roe deer, badgers, bats, and all manner of feathered and other creatures. Pinewoods is such a beautiful, peaceful nature spot, and yet so accessible - in London Zone 5!
Cost is £70 per person, including simple, tasty, plant-based food for Saturday and Sunday (we’ll all bring something to share on the Friday night). There’ll be a core crew organising and holding the space but we’ll be living together in community, with everyone expected to help in making the space work smoothly for us all over the weekend. For those unable make the whole weekend there’s a £35 option to join 4-10pm on Saturday for our glorious, verdant 5Rhythms dance with Judit, yummy vegetarian curry, and a heartwarming time around the campfire. We’ll go ahead whatever the weather, with plans modified as need be. All 5Rhythms dancers are welcome to join the retreat, along with their adult guests. Come, dive into Wonder-Land! 💚
