Immortal
Bruce Watson has recently completed a video tribute to the greats of the Australian folk scene over the last several decades who are no longer with us. It uses photos, video and audio recordings to capture the essence of each of the individuals included. It celebrates many extraordinarily talented people who have left a lasting legacy through their music, inspiration, knowledge and passion. Performers, songwriters, collectors and inspirers have all played a key role in defining and shaping Australia’s changing cultural identity.
A Victorian version of the Immortal video will be screening through the club on Sunday, 21st September commencing 3.30pm at the Ringwood East Senior Citizens Hall. This version of the video will include sections on more people with VFMC connections than is in the current version, including Joy Durst, Bert Gibson, Clem Parkinson, Jim Buchannan & Joan Martin.
