Greetings Church Family!
Our Staff and Church Governance Board is asking every every household at Momentum Church to come together and help us avert some harsh financial challenges. We have been monitoring our progress and are asking our church family to rise up to help us resolve this situation. We need to raise $10,000 over the next 10 weeks (over and above our regular giving) to get ourselves back on track.
Over the harsh winter months, we accumulated some VERY large utility bills because we had to leave our system on much longer than usual. When it is brutally cold, we have to be careful with systems and electronics here at the church. We also had some significant repairs which had to be tackled. Good news is that we are nearly caught up on the utility bills and those bills have returned to normal, but these unavoidable expenses have put us behind in our payments on some other significant expenses:
Here's what we are in need:
Approximately $2500 still due for Water and Nipsco
Approximately $2200 still due for HVAC repairs
Approximately $1300 past due for Comcast and Plumbing repair
Approximately $3000 unpaid salary for Senior Pastor
Approximately $1200 still due for other miscellaneous ministry expenses (office, worship equipment replacement, etc.)
Part of the reason for this campaign is that our summer months we tend to see a slide in giving as people are on vacations and out of town a lot more. Attendance and giving both drop about 25% from mid-May to Mid-September. Most of the time, we can absorb this in the budget, but due to being behind heading into this season, we are in a tough spot.
Normally, our monthly giving ranges between $25,000-$27,000, but over the past couple of months, it has been $20.000-$22,000. So, you can see it doesn't take long to accumulate significant shortfall.
We're asking every household and every family at Momentum Church to consider giving over and above your tithe/offerings to help us tackle this problem. God's got us! People are getting baptized and lives are changing at Momentum Church! We know God is going to provide! This is your church! Let's do this together!
Log in the the app or website giving page and indicate "10/10" on your above tithe/offerings giving over the next several weeks! Write an extra check or give cash on Sunday, but make sure to indicate "10/10" on the giving so we can track our progress.
REMEMBER, if it's just your normal giving, it won't go towards the "10/10!" This has to be over and above! If you haven't been giving, NOW is the time to get started!
