SHADOWS – SLAC CALL FOR ART
Do you remember how shadows danced across your bedroom wall at night? 🔦
Or the way light carves out mystery and contrast in a photograph?
What hides in shadow? What’s revealed by it? 💡💃
SHADOWS is the theme of our next SLAC show at the Sip Coffee House in Crown Point, and we want to see your interpretation—literal, emotional, abstract, or surreal. From the darkness of silhouettes to the metaphorical shadows we live with, this show is open to your most creatively shadowy ideas.

Please name the jpegs clearly so we can match titles to the art. We need to know which piece goes with which tag!
You’ll receive an email notification for any accepted work by end of day, Thursday, May 15th.
NO submission or commission fees
Size Limit: No larger than 39 inches
Sculpture: Must be securely mountable on the wall
Framing: All pieces MUST be properly framed and wired (NO sawtooth hangers). We will not hang pieces that aren’t ready to go. No exceptions.
ART DROP-OFF:
Sunday, May 18th, from 3–6 PM at
Sip Coffee House - 11 N. Court St, Crown Point, IN
(If you can’t make that time, you must contact a SLAC admin to make arrangements.)
Please sign in your pieces on the provided sheet when dropping them off. Do not leave them unattended or with coffee shop staff without letting an admin know or making prior arrangements as they deal with a lot of other outside art and artists that are not involved with the show.
Shipping?
Submit your form and email images by midnight on May 4th to allow time for coordination and shipping.
You are responsible for all shipping costs, insurance, and return labels.

Friday, May 23rd, 2025 at 7 PM

As always, attach a tag to the back of your piece with your name, title, and price (or NFS).
