Smokey the Bear’s 81st Birthday at Lewis and Clark SRA

Join us at Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area on Saturday, August 9th for Smokey the Bear’s 81st birthday party!

ACTIVITIES:
12:30 p.m. – Campfire Relay
Stop by the fire-building station, drop your gear and roll into a relay that teaches the basics of building a safe campfire! Participants will be eligible for prizes. Meet at the Weigand Picnic Shelter.

1 p.m. – Smokey’s Birthday Party
Enjoy a visit from the fire department and a piece of Dutch oven birthday cake that can be topped with ice cream for $1 at the marina store!

9 p.m. – Outdoor Movie Night
Yogi Bear is taking on the great outdoors! See what he is up to at our family-friendly outdoor movie night! Remember to bring a blanket or lawn chairs.

A valid Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for entry.
