About the event

A Return of the White-tailed Eagle to Wales - an illustrated talk by Sophie-lee Williams
The last known pair of eagles in Wales was lost in the 1830s. In the 1970s reintroductions began in Scotland and in the early 2000s over 50 breeding pairs were established. Much more recent releases were in the Isle of Wight and Ireland. Sophie-lee Williams of Eagle Reintroduction Wales will tell us about her work in gathering scientific evidence to build a case to put to statutory agencies for the return of these majestic birds to South East Wales.
Entry fee is £4 for group members, £5 non-group members 24 years and under free. Refreshments of tea/coffee and biscuits are included. The hall is fully accessible to wheelchair users, including an adapted toilet.
