Creative Connections: Well-being Support Programme

Crewe Lyceum Theatre has partnered with Visyon, a local mental health charity that supports the emotional well-being of children, young people, and their families in Cheshire East, to offer a 10 week well-being peer support programme for young people aged 12-16 (funded by The National Lottery Community Fund).

The programme, Creative Connections, will give young people the opportunity to be involved in a variety of creative activities such as visual art, music, theatre, and creative writing. We know that being involved in the creative arts can enhance well-being, boost confidence and build resilience to cope with life’s stresses. It may be particularly beneficial for young people who are looking to increase their social connections and to learn new skills. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn a Discover Arts Award qualification while learning about mental health and overall well-being.

The group will meet on Mondays 5-6.30PM

Mon 29 Sep 2025: Information and drop-in session for young people, families and organisations that might want to promote and refer into the programme.

Group 1: Mon 6 Oct – Mon 8 Dec (No session on Mon 27 Oct)
Group 2: Mon 12 Jan 2026 – Mon 23 March 2026 (No session on Mon 16 Feb)
Group 3: Mon 13 April 2026 – Mon 29 June 2026 (No sessions on 4 and 25 May)
