Come along and audition for our next production: Murder at the Manor! An interactive dinner theatre evening where you could play one of the characters that may have murdered Lord Heathcliff!
The audition will take place in the back room of The Swan in Betley and will involve reading from a script and an improvisation exercise.
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
Set in a 1920s country house, the guests of Lord Heathcliff’s dinner party are shocked when their host is found murdered. Each of the dinner guests is a suspect, and each has something to hide.
This is not a traditional play - it’s an immersive dinner theatre experience where the actors interact with the audience in character throughout the event. Think of it as part theatre, part live game.
CHARACTERS TO CAST INCLUDE:
BLANCHE BATTERS – The cook who's always hot and bothered.
THE BUTLER – Smartly dressed in suit tails with a superior sneer.
CINDERS – The loyal maid with a scandalous secret.
EM FATALE – Lord Heathcliff's young widow who's always dressed to K*ll.
GENERAL CUSTARD – Ex-Army General, whose authoritativeness and self-importance may be hiding something else.
INSPECTOR DENAUX – The bumbling French detective.
MISTY VISIONS – A free spirit, often seen listening to unseen forces or reading palms.
MRS WITHERING – The old-fashioned and embittered housekeeper.
REVEREND WILL BEEDONE – Lord Heathcliff's brother and man of the cloth.
SIERRA TANGO - The local inexperienced female Constable who's forced to take charge of the investigation.

Confident performers who can improvise and interact with the audience in character.
Actors willing to collaborate in developing immersive moments.
No prior experience necessary, just enthusiasm and commitment.
Strong period presence and ability to maintain a 1920s character throughout the evening.
