CNC GROWING FRIENDS
Want to get involved with the Community Garden?
There are two ways you can come along and be a part of the new CNC Growing Friends group:
VOLUNTEER:
Every Thursday in the garden
We are running volunteer mornings where you can come along and get involved by helping with plant sales or propagating plants. We will also be doing various other activities as needed – working on the vegetable beds, harvesting produce or collecting seeds. Everyone is welcome, so why not drop in for a look around and see if this might be something you would like to get involved in.
WORKSHOPS:
1st Saturday of the Month
A series of fun and informative workshops to improve your gardening skills. Each workshop builds on the previous one, so that over the year you will effectively be completing an “Introduction to Horticulture”. They are also offered as stand-alone events, so please feel free to enrol in just one or two or sign up for the entire year.
FEBURARY: Hands on workshop laying and setting a simple watering system for vegetable garden beds.
Workshop Fees
$15 Per Session Casual, or
$30 Per 3 Months

NOV: Plant Nutrition & Deficiencies

JAN: No Workshop
FEB: Irrigation methods & set-up
MAR: Botany for Gardeners
APR: Seed Saving & Autumn Pruning
MAY: Compost Making & Worm Farms
JUN: Pruning Fruit Trees
JULY: Digging & Dividing Perennials
