Unit 1.1 - It's a What's It: Deceived in the Garden
August 10th at 10:30am
Hey Joy Kids parents!
Even when we mess up big time, God still loves us. Adam and Eve had perhaps the biggest mess-up of all time, and still, God had a plan to make things right. How amazing is that! This week, we’re taking a look at the incredible story of the Garden of Eden, and we’ll discover that even when we make BIG mistakes, God’s love for us is always bigger.
When you start your morning of family worship, we want to encourage you to read through the Memory Verse (below) with your kids, this is a great way to engage spiritually with your family and get them excited and familiar with where we will be headed as a family on Sunday.
Here is a snapshot of the lesson details for this week:
Bible Story: Deceived in the Garden
Big Idea: God’s love is greater than our sin.
Memory Verse: “But here is how God has shown His love for us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (NIrV)
There are times when we all feel like we’ve messed up so badly that things are broken beyond repair, but God’s story is a story of redemption. God will never stop pursuing us. He’ll never give up on us. My hope is that through this story, we’ll remember that even in the darkest moments of our lives, God is with us and He has a plan for us.
