Learn to Draw Camp, Ages 8-11

Learn the fundamentals of drawing in one week! Perfect for children who have keen drawing interest and focus, and loads of creativity.

Students learn techniques and vocabulary from an educated teaching artist (me! Jaye!) doing live demos and giving one-on-one suggestions, instruction, problem solving, and cheerleading.

Throughout the week we investigate line drawing, shading methods in pencil, charcoal, and ink, and adding colour with pastel, watercolour, and coloured pencil.

We learn about right-brain drawing methods, negative space, value blocking, hard and soft edges, colour mixing and blending, and more in a bright, clean, and creative space.

Each day includes 2 drawing sessions with a mid-morning break where we will walk to a local creative business (different each day).
