Brick by Brick: Tracing Your Home's History

f walls could talk… Was your home moved, damaged by fire, or enlarged to accommodate a growing family? Presenter Tina Beaird will provide strategies for researching the history of your home by using government records, newspapers, phone directories, maps and other resources. Every home tells a story, what does yours say?

Tina Beaird, owner of Tamarack Genealogy, is a genealogy & local history librarian at a mid-sized Chicagoland public library. She holds a Masters of Library and Information Science degree with a specialization in Archives/Preservation from Dominican University in River Forest, IL. Tina has won multiple research and digitization grants over the last decade to preserve and digitize historic documents and photographs.
