While maintaining the integrity of the Liberate: Somatic Release workshop, this special 2-hours offering will emphasize She, Her, and Hers. Enjoy local artisan tea, Vernon based botanist oil samples from Haunted, handmade quartz crystal bracelets, and LH Somatic Counselling Ltd. merchandise.
Liberate is a captivating and cathartic combination of somatics and trauma-informed therapy. Through supported cathartic movement, gain the ability to uproot and reprocess stuck experiences in your body, and realign the energy once devoted to old coping mechanisms into more suitable ways of relating to your present relationships. Expect to whisper, speak, sing, and wail, jump, kick, and even dance your way through both guided and unguided movements to the beat and vibration of music. You will be invited to the edge of your poised persona to then relate to the beast that lies within.
Neurogenic tremoring is an innate mechanism within our neurobiology and is an automatic response to remediate the symptoms of shock. You will be guided through an involuntary trembling exercise that can further integrate, transform, and release excess emotional, mental and physical tension.
Please bring an item for the altar, water, a mat, and a journal. No previous experience is necessary.
