About the event

Theater Project
Join us for the first program in the Fall 2025 Season! The Theater Project will present a script-in-hand performance followed by a lively discussion with the playwright, director, actors, and audience.

This program has been made possible by funds from the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

Funds benefiting this program have also been provided by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library.

Today's play reading is DEFINE GOOD by Stephanie Griffin.

Loosely inspired by the true story of a 1970s college activist, gone into 20 years of hiding after committing a crime in the service of her cause, who eventually turned herself into the FBI. She seeks to understand and heal the wreckage she has left behind, not only in her own life, but in the lives of her family, and her victim’s family. DEFINE GOOD examines the ambiguities and limits that come with truly serving a cause.
