🌍 Connecting Minds: Citizens’ Panel Project
Banbridge is bringing voices together! 💬✨
The Citizens’ Panel is a new project that brings together young people, older residents, newcomers, and community leaders once a month to share ideas and shape positive change for our town.

🌿 Session 2: Community Spaces
📅 Wednesday 1st October
🕡 7.00pm-8.00pm
📍 Banbridge Youth & Resource Centre Banbridge Youth Resource Centre - BYRC
This session will focus on planning and naming a new Community Garden for Banbridge — a space for connection, stories, and growth. 🌱
What to expect:
✅ Share your design ideas for the garden (plants, benches, artwork, memory wall).
✅ Explore how the garden could be used (storytelling sessions, gardening days, school visits).
✅ Work together to choose a name for the garden.
✅ Hear from our special guest speaker, Charlie Marno, who will share inspiration on creating shared community spaces.
⸻
✨ What we’ve achieved so far:
At our launch session in August, we:
• Created our shared VOICE rules (Value, One person at a time, Include everyone, Care, Encourage & enjoy).
• Designed the first Citizens’ Poster, linking these rules to Banbridge’s key themes.
• Brought together young people, seniors, newcomers, and community leaders for the very first time to share food, stories, and ideas for change.
⸻
💡 This is your chance to join the journey and help shape something lasting for Banbridge. Everyone is welcome — come along and add your voice!
