THE LEGEND OF OCHI
Running Time: 1hr 35m / Year: 2025/ Production: FIN/UK/USA/ Rated PG
Director: Isaiah Saxon
The Legend of Ochi is a charming throwback to adventure movies of the ‘80s like The Neverending Story and The Dark Crystal , complete with original puppetry that reportedly contains not an ounce of CGI manipulation.
In a remote village on the island of Carpathia, a shy girl is raised to fear an elusive animal species known as Ochi. But when she discovers a wounded baby Ochi has been left behind, she escapes on a quest to bring him home.
Rated PG (parental guidance). See Common Sense Media for a guide for age suitability.
STREAMING SUNDAY - ONLINE - SUN. JUN 29th - ALL DAY
THE NEVERENDING STORY
Running Time: 1hr 42mins / Year: 1984/ Production: / Rated G
Director: Wolfgang Petersen
This classic film, based on the German book of the same name (Die unendliche Geschichte) is a wonderful story and can mean as much or as little as you take from it. Great for kids and adults!
Bastian is a young boy who lives a dreary life being tormented by school bullies. On one such occasion he escapes into a book shop where the old proprieter reveals an ancient story-book to him. He "borrows" the book and begins to read it in the school attic where he is drawn into the mythical land of Fantasia, which desperately needs a hero to save it from destruction.
