Scoring as follows:
Anglers will pair up 1 checking 2, 2 checking 1, etc, etc after each peg just verbally confirm to each other how many were taken on the peg. Last angler if an odd number can elect someone next to them. – Therefore anglers should commit to fishing til the end.
A Marshall will be placed at the change of water to ensure scores can be passed if required due to all separate waters being used.
Anglers are responsible for checking all information and RULES prior to arrival. Full position map with peg numbers against names will be given on the day. This will be randomly drawn on the day.
Example – Competitor numbers will be allocated pegs on the day selecting a card at the morning draw with the water rotation being Charlie (C), Doug (D) then Baxter B(Competitor list below)
Charlie has 15 pegs
Baxter has 20 pegs
Doug has 8 pegs
If less numbers, then we will use waters as fit to numbers.
Maximum of 5 fish per peg
1st fish – 2 points (note time of 1st fish for yourself and your paired angler - as it enters the net)
1 point per fish for next 4 fish
1st fish time will be used for any draws and should be recorded on card and verified by your paired angler. Other fish times may be used in event of a draw.
RULES
FLIES FOUND TO BE BARBED WILL LOOSE 3 POINTS (debarbed allowed)
Fish HOOKED! during retrieval after END FISHING will be counted if netted. A line not touching the water mid cast on a change of peg horn will not be counted. On hooter sounding anglers must immediately retrieve.
Anglers must net their own fish! Marshalls can assist release and recovery if needed.
A fish only counts if kept in the net for unhooking. Jumping back out before being unhooked and then losing it does not count.
Fish must be hooked in front of the gill cover to count
Anglers may have up to 3 rods set up and must have the rod held at all times whilst actively fishing. Lines must not be left unattended in the water.
