Nestled on a beautiful lakefront, Camp McCullough has been a part of First Presbyterian Church Tacoma’s ministry for over 80 years. It’s a place where young hearts come alive through adventure, connection, and the transforming love of Jesus. God does incredible work at camp every summer. It’s the perfect setting for kids to unplug, recharge, and experience Him in new ways.
What Makes Camp McCullough Special?
Safe, Christ-Centered Programs – Camp is run by a dedicated team of well-trained, background checked, caring counselors and staff who are passionate about kids and deeply rooted in their faith. FPC’s Youth & Kids’ Ministry Directors actively supervise, coordinate and run the weeks at Camp. We are also blessed to have many adult volunteers who act as Deans, cook, and lead activities.
High Staff to Camper Ratio – With just 62 kids per camp, our Campers feel personally seen and known.
Fully Staffed Waterfront – Our lifeguard-certified team keeps the lakefront safe and fun. Swim tests are required to play in our designated swim area and lifejackets are provided.
Renovated Facilities – We’ve recently upgraded our cabin bathrooms and lodge to make Camp more comfortable, refreshed, and welcoming.
Incredible Food – Delicious, balanced meals that campers actually love—it’s one of the things they rave about!
Fun and Faith Combined – Games, crafts, boating, swimming, archery, pickleball, talent shows, and fireside worship – every day is filled with joy, laughter, and moments to grow in their faith.
Bible-Based Teaching – We bring in passionate, gifted speakers who open God’s Word in ways that resonate with kids. Our heart is to see every camper take the next step in their walk with Christ.
Camp is fun for adults too!
Camp McCullough can also be rented for your church’s use for retreats, family camps, Church services, or business meetings. You can provide your own staff, or, if available, we have a staff to cook, lifeguard and provide maintenance.
