After a six-year hiatus, the legendary Pintwood Derby is finally back at Alosta Brewing Co.—and it's bigger, better, and cooler than ever (literally, we’re racing in the evening this time)!

Think pinewood derby racing, but with a frosty craft beer in hand! If you’ve never experienced the thrill of a pinewood derby race, here’s the lowdown: racers design and build small wooden cars from official Boy Scouts of America kits. Then they race them down a sloped track in a battle of speed and style. No batteries, no motors—just gravity, creativity, and fun!

• Two Classes
• Kids 14 & Under
• Adults 15 & Over
• Several qualifying heats per class.
• Class Champions will be crowned after the finals.
• Then comes the ultimate showdown: the Grand Championship Race, where the winner of each class goes head-to-head to see who takes home the coveted Grand Champion Trophy!
• Awards for Best Car Design in both classes.

• Your first beer fill on us (soft drinks available for racers under 21)

• Registrants must be 21+ (to receive the pint glass and beer).
• You can register someone under 21 to race (like your kiddo or niece/nephew), but you must be present at check-in. See FAQ page for details.
• Not sure how to build a car? No worries! Kits include full instructions—it’s easier than it looks, and way more fun.
  

• Evening Start Time (6PM) – Beat the heat and race into the night!
• Track Opens Early – Come by early, test your ride, and make last-minute tweaks!

• Trackside seating is open to spectators and fans — you don’t have to be racing to grab a spot.
• Must be 21+ to reserve and sit in Trackside Seating (we’ve had a few… let’s call them overly enthusiastic incidents in the past).
