About the Workshop
“Drawing from the Ground Up” is a gentle, nature-based creative session rooted in observation, presence, and connection. Set within the peaceful surroundings of the Food Union allotments, this workshop invites participants to slow down, look closely, and respond creatively to the world around them.
Through a combination of guided drawing, sensory writing prompts, and mindfulness techniques, we explore how creativity can nourish emotional wellbeing and build community.
This workshop is designed to:
Support emotional wellbeing through gentle, expressive creativity;
Celebrate the healing power of nature and hands-on making;
Create a sense of belonging through shared creative experience;
Offer simple tools for mindfulness, reflection, and creative play.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned maker, you are warmly welcome. Come as you are—this is a space for slowness, for listening, and for noticing the beauty of small things. All materials are provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own drawing tools and sketchbooks or drawing pads.
This workshop is free to attend. If you’d like to support future workshops with Anastasija, small donations toward materials are appreciated—but never expected.
