Hailing from the heart of Vancouver Island’s Comox Valley, The Volume Knobs have been tearing up local stages since 2018 with their blistering take on 90s hard rock. Known for high-energy performances and a setlist packed with era-defining anthems, they deliver the kind of raw, live show that brings fans back to the golden age of guitar-driven rock.
With two powerhouse vocalists out front, The Volume Knobs deliver serious vocal firepower: Jaden Braniff brings the grit, growl, and gravel with a voice made for stadium-sized choruses, while Nelson Berry adds contrast with his soaring, melodic tone that cuts clean through the mix.
On drums, Brett Galliford is the heartbeat of the band, a seasoned veteran of touring cover bands whose rock-solid grooves keep everything locked down. Brock Macdonald, on rhythm guitar, honed his chops performing on warships and knows how to keep a crowd moving, wherever the stage may be. Lead guitarist Ross McDyre turns every solo into a mission, cranking up the distortion and letting loose with loud, dirty licks that channel the spirit of the '90s greats. Rounding it all out is Alex Lewis on bass — the keeper of the low end, holding the groove tight with subtle precision and plenty of punch.
