Our first film in our Italian Neorealism series is Umberto D., Vittorio De Sica’s quietly devastating portrait of an elderly man and his dog navigating postwar Rome. A masterpiece of Italian Neorealism, the film captures the dignity and despair of ordinary life with profound empathy and restraint.

This event features a prescreening introduction, curated surprises for attendees, and an open post-screening discussion with local cinephiles.
