August History Pub - Post Haste - History of Post Offices in South Lane County

Special delivery! This month's history Pub, presented by meticulous local historian Gerald Santana, focuses on the post office system in South Lane county, specifically Cottage Grove which at one point in its early history suffered from the town feud, creating confusion about the town's name, and much of it was centered around the post office. Take a trip back into time, and learn more about our earliest infrastructure for communication, and it's intriguing history when the town was divided.
